A certain proportion of UHMWPE powder and white oil was added into the swelling pot to prepare a uniform swelling material. The swelling material enters the feeding hopper and twin-screw extruder through the middle hopper. Then melt spinning is carried out through the filter, box, metering pump and components, and then it enters the water tank to cool the silk to obtain the gel silk of the intermediate product.

The gel wire is smoothly sent to the next process after pre tension is applied in parallel, the wire is thinned through certain drafting, the extraction pressure is reduced, and the white oil solvent inside the gel wire is completely extracted with hydrocarbon cleaning agent. In the drying oven, taking advantage of the volatile characteristics of the extractant, the extractant on the surface of the tow is dried and discharged by circulating hot air to obtain the dry precursor for later drafting.

Finally, the dried tow is subjected to three-stage thermal drafting. By controlling the drafting temperature and multiple of each stage, the UHMWPE tow has high strength and high modulus mechanical properties.
